Meal Breaks
If your shift schedule includes a meal break, FabWise carries that meal break window with your shift.
FabWise does not ask you to start or stop lunch during the shift. At clock-out, FabWise may ask whether you took your meal break — but only if your shift was long enough and actually reached the scheduled break window.
When the question appears
The meal break question only shows up when all three are true:
- Your shift schedule includes a meal break.
- You worked long enough for the break to apply (usually at least 5 hours).
- Your shift was still active when the scheduled meal break window arrived.
If your shift ended before the lunch window, or if you worked a short shift, the question will not appear.
Clocking Out
If the question appears, the first option is:
Yes, I took my meal break
If you took your scheduled meal break, tap that and you're done.
If you worked through your scheduled meal break without stopping, tap:
No, I worked through it
That records what happened so your supervisor can review the shift.
If Your Meal Break Looks Wrong
Meal breaks come from the shift schedule. If your scheduled meal break looks wrong, ask your supervisor to check the schedule.
If your supervisor sees that your answer was recorded incorrectly, they can correct it from the shift detail.
