Signing In to FabWise
You sign in to the admin and workstation surfaces with a username and password. Your username is set when you create your account, and you can always recover it from your email.
Your username
When you start your free trial, the last setup step — Set Up Your Login — asks you to choose a username and a password. We pre-fill a suggested username based on your name (like jane.doe); keep it or change it.
A username is 8–30 characters and can use lowercase letters, numbers, periods, and underscores. It's how you sign in from then on — not your email address.
Your email
The person who owns the account (the admin) always has an email on file. We use it to reach you about billing and your account, and it's how you recover a forgotten password or username. Shop-floor workers who only clock in at a kiosk don't need an email — but an admin always does.
Forgot your password?
On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password?, enter your email, and we'll send a reset link. The reset email — and the reset page — also show your username, so you'll know exactly what to type when you sign back in.
Forgot your username?
On the sign-in page, choose Forgot username? and enter your email. We'll email your username to the address on your account. (For your security, we send it only to your registered email, and the page looks the same whether or not an account exists for that address.)
Adding more people
When you add users in Users, each one gets a username too — we suggest one from their name, and you can adjust it. Workers who only use the shared kiosk sign in with their PIN instead.
