Role-based access, simpler shift review, and a leaner product

v2026.04.08

April 8, 2026

FabWise is now focused entirely on what matters: tracking who worked on what during the day. This release adds role-based access so you can give your team the right level of control, and simplifies how shifts get reviewed.

What's New

  • Give your team the right access. Three permission levels let you control who sees what. Your floor lead can review and confirm shifts without accessing settings or billing. Your office manager can run reports and manage customers without being able to delete records. Only the account owner has full control.

  • Simpler shift review. Approve and Override are gone. Now it's Confirm Shift or Adjust Times — and the right button is highlighted based on what the system found. Clean shift? One click to confirm. Something flagged? Adjust Times is front and center.

  • Meal breaks built into schedules. Each schedule now includes when the meal break happens and how long it is. When a shift is created from the schedule, the break is automatically attached. Workers confirm at clock-out whether they took it.

  • Meal-break declarations. Workers can confirm at clock-out whether they took the meal break attached to their scheduled shift or worked through it that day.

What's Improved

  • Faster payroll reports. The payroll report now shows exactly what your payroll provider needs: who worked, when, and how many hours. Export to CSV and hand it to ADP, Gusto, or QuickBooks.

  • Cleaner settings. We removed settings that didn't serve time tracking. What's left is what matters: your rounding interval, scheduled meal-break review, and shift thresholds.

  • Faster, leaner app. We removed features that added complexity without helping you track time. The result is a faster app with fewer places for things to go wrong.

What's Fixed

  • Login reliability. Fixed an issue where new accounts could get stuck in a login loop after signing up.
  • Billing accuracy. Fixed a checkout issue that could show incorrect line items for new accounts.
